Praise the Lord brethren.
My message this week is from the book of Joshua 3:14-15," So it was, when the people set out from their camp to cross over the Jordan, with the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people, 15 and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest),"
It is amazing that God didnt have His people cross the Jordan when it was not overflowing. He commanded them to do it when it overflew its banks.Jordan was there to help raise the faith of the Israelis. Without the Jordan, there would be no faith for Jericho walls to come down. God was teaching His people obedience. We cant possess our promises without faith and obedience. Whatever it takes God to align us into those two things, He will do if we will inherit anything from Him. He was preparing them to bring down walls, giants, kingdoms and kings. It was more than a Jordan experience.
Many of the people of God go through Jordan's experiences. It is to prepare you for your Canaan. Some challenges will open you eyes to see in a better way, the victory ahead. What you are going through is not only for the sake of today but it is to prepare you for the destiny ahead. An overflowing Jordan raises your faith to the levels where nothing else is a threat to you. Overcoming that sickness, challenge, shake-up, hindrance, rejection, will chase the fear factor in you. All the other giants that will come after that, will be easier for you to face. Your spirit-man will be strengthened after the Jordan experience. That is why there has to be a Jordan before a Canaan. That's the Jordan's sake.
